The hydrogen retrofit kit designed and manufactured by SAFRA is registered under the H2-PACK® trademark.
This kit transforms the engine of a diesel coach into a Zero Emission vehicle running on hydrogen and emitting only water vapour.
These hydrogen retrofit kits are the result of initial trials carried out on 15 Mercedes Intouro ME coaches built in 2012 and belonging to the Occitanie region, and have been available on the market since 2023.
Integrating this retrofit kit involves replacing the thermal drive train with a 100% electric drive train powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
